History/ Amendments
Historical filings, both U4s and Amendments, are retained in the database and easily viewable by the back office. This is important for record-keeping. It is also utilized as a base for Amendments so that reps do not have to re-enter their information. In an Amendment, the screens are pre-populated from the historical filing and the reps only need to review and make any necessary changes. Representatives are able to perform updates to their demographic information, business information, FINRA Licenses, Jurisdiction Registrations, and request exams. The historical data is stored according to the date the filing was initiated and can be easily viewed by the back office.

BROKER / DEALER FORMS
Your Broker/Dealer specific forms can be integrated into the wizard so the rep can fill in all required forms at one time. At the end of the wizard, the rep can click on each form, which will be pre-populated. The need for mailing or faxing new rep packets is virtually eliminated, saving time and money spent on postage and manual processes.
Our CAESAR Registrar specialist will review your Broker/Dealer forms and create an effort estimate and price proposal. Each program manager will oversee the process, ensuring a smooth integration.
The following are just a few of the forms that may be integrated into CAESAR Registrar: |

FINGERPRINTS
Financial Database Services has partnered with PrideRock Holdings to complete the fingerprinting portion of the registration process electronically. The application wizard guides representatives through scheduling an appointment with their local fingerprint-scanning center. A bar-coded receipt will be created for the rep to take to the center to pre-fill their fingerprint card. The fingerprints are then taken, scanned, previewed for accuracy, and electronically submitted to FINRA.
There are different contractual levels with Priderock. Depending on the level you choose, prints can be sent directly to the NASD, FBI and/or OFAIC checking. FDS can assist you in contacting Priderock and determining the level of functionality to best suit your business needs |

BACK OFFICE CONTROLS
The back office stays in control of the registration process at all times. Any data entered into CAESAR Registrar is viewable by your back office in real time. With a manual process, back office doesn't have access to the U4 until is completed and sent back to your Broker/Dealer.
Another control feature of CAESAR Registrar are stop points. Stop points that keep the rep from answering any more questions may be integrated throughout the application process. When a representative gets to one of these stop points, an e-mail with the appropriate attachments will automatically be sent to the proper back office personnel for review and approval. These stops give the back office an opportunity to review the data entered and approve or place the rep on hold and schedule an interview. Once the rep is approved to go on to the next step, the rep will receive an email notification, letting him know to continue.
Once the U4 has been completed and approved by the back office, it is electronically sent to the CRD. Please note, any U4's that contain yes answers to any disclosure questions, may not be electronically transmitted to the CRD.
WebCRD Interface
CAESAR Registrar provides a bi-directional interface with the CRD, assuring registrations are completed according to FINRA regulations. Once a representative has been approved through the CAESAR Registrar program, the Back Office assigns them a branch and rep number. At this time, rep data and licenses are automatically downloaded from the CRD and inserted into corresponding CAESAR tables. In addition to completing full U4 submissions, representatives can also submit partial submissions for their license renewals and terminations.
TECHNOLOGY
CAESAR Registrar is web based and can be accessed by any computer with a standard version of Internet Explorer. No special or proprietary software, such as Java or plug-ins are required on the user's PC. The web portion is written in standard HTML, and runs on the time tested and reliable Apache Web Server. CAESAR Registrar interfaces with CAESAR through the use of SOAP calls between the web server and your existing CAESAR database. Using SOAP reduces maintenance by allowing the retrieval and update of information in CAESAR tables to be done through a separate layer of business logic. If the database of business model changes, it can be updated in the SOAP server. The Web interface that your users have grown accustomed to will remain the same, reducing the amount of maintenance needed to keep Registrar running long into the future.
CAESAR Registrar can be accessed by your rep two different ways, either through a designated URL or a single sign-on through your website. Once logged on, the representative will be prompted to create a user name and a password will then be emailed to them.
Your representative will have the ability log out and continue where he left off at a later time. The next time he logs in, a “click here to continue” option will be prominently displayed and will take your rep back to where he left off.
Re-brand
FDS gives you the freedom to re-brand this product to better fit your organizations marketing brand. The color and style is easily customizable with cascading style sheets. You may even change the name of the application to better reflect your corporate image. |
