2007 CAESAR User Group Meeting

Financial Database Services hosted its 11th annual CAESAR User Group Meeting this year in La Jolla, California. The theme “Partnering, Envisioning, Achieving…Inventing the Future,” was the focus of this years agenda, guiding FDS and CAESAR users to partner with one another to envision the future they want to create together to automate the ever changing technology needs of the Broker Dealer industry.

Partnering

35 CAESAR users from 15 Broker/Dealers gathered to discuss their operational processes, needed solutions to streamline processes, and the role CAESAR plays in their Broker Dealer. Friendships were formed, networking contacts made, and new partnerships created as Broker Dealers both large and small came together to discuss and explore their usage of the CAESAR Enterprise Solution.

Envisioning

Financial Database Services hosted several open forum discussion groups with CAESAR clients to gauge their automation needs in several areas, such as field tool functionality to supplement what FDS already provides, interfacing with clearing firms for account set up and RIA processing. Clients were encouraged to provide detailed information about what their Broker Dealer needs and wants in these areas while FDS staff documented the client ideas that emerged from these discussions.

Achieving

Clients walked away with a better understanding of the CAESAR Enterprise Solution, where it is now and where it is going in the future. FDS gathered valuable information from the CAESAR user community about ways the product can move forward into the future. Over the next several months, FDS will evaluate the feedback received and incorporate it as appropriate into future development plans. This year’s event was a wonderful success and FDS looks forward to next years gathering.
