CLIENT ACCOUNT MAINTENAINCE
CAESAR maintains detailed information on account holders such as demographics, employer and financial information. Individuals are then related to one another to form client registrations, where investment objectives and documentation are tracked. CAESAR tracks changes made to client accounts and generates letters to these clients informing them of changes. CAESAR also creates 36-month mailing letters as well as welcome letters for new clients.
Individuals can be linked together, forming specific relationships, and Letters of Intent indicated by Vendor to assist your Broker/Dealer with Mutual Fund Breakpoint checking. Positions can be loaded into CAESAR and aggregated as appropriate to calculate Mutual Fund Breakpoints |

CAESAR accepts the booking of direct purchases both on an accrual and cash basis. Transactions can be entered into CAESAR manually, downloaded from clearing firms and other third-party applications, processed through NSCC's Fund/SERV service, or entered in batch mode. All transactions are verified against CAESAR's compliance rules engine and will be flagged, held or blottered as defined by your Broker/Dealer. |

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE
CAESAR stores issuer and product information for all product types, which are user defined. This information is used to assist with calculating commissions and verifying suitability during transaction processing.
To assist our clients in complying with FINRA Mutual Fund Breakpoint regulations, CAESAR interfaces to DST to bring in Mutual Fund Breakpoint Data and DTCC to bring in Mutual Fund linkage rules. In addition, breakpoint calculations for Life products can be based on invested, target or excess premium amount, age and specific date ranges.

COMPLIANCE REVIEW
CAESAR's compliance rules engine electronically scrutinizes transactions to verify conformance to Broker/Dealer defined business rules. Potential violations are flagged and, based on their severity, can be rejected, placed on commission hold or flagged for management review.
To supplement CAESAR's automated rules engine, the system uses an algorithm to randomly select transactions and e-mail them daily to designated compliance officers for review
To assist Broker/Dealers with compliance to FINRA regulations, CAESAR's Books & Records program tracks changes made to entity and client registrations and generates letters to the client informing them of changes made to their account.
CAESAR's Pre-Audit program allows compliance officers to research branch activity prior to branch office visit. This program displays detailed information on branch representatives, commissions generated by each client, and commission amounts by product type for each rep.
CAESAR provides Broker/Dealer's tools to comply with FINRA Mutual Fund Breakpoint regulations. During transaction entry, CAESAR will check product breakpoints, “link by” rules and total positions for all linked individuals to validate the customer received the appropriate break. |

COMMISSION ACCOUNTING
CAESAR provides for unlimited combinations for calculating and paying commissions. Product types can be grouped together to create production grids that determine commission payout rates. Commission rates can be calculated by Product Type, Issuer, Cusip, and for Life products, by agent, agency and bonus portions. Commissions can be split between an unlimited number of representatives and overrides, with each individual having their own unique payout rate. Commissions are placed on hold as defined by the Broker/Dealer in CAESAR's compliance rules engine. Commissions with compliance holds will not be paid out until infractions have been resolved.
Miscellaneous fees and deductions, such as ; 401k contributions, E&O payments, and license renewal fees can be defined and automatically deducted from commissions and listed as line item detail on the Commission Statement.
CAESAR's commission statement consists of a cover sheet summarizing the reps production, a detail page listing all trades for the current period, override detail listing any overrides being paid, and any deductions that have taken place against their commissions. FDS can customize these statements for you as needed. Commission statements can be printed, e-mailed in PDF format or accessed through Field CAESAR.

GENERAL LEDGER
CAESAR's General Ledger includes journals for cash disbursements, cash receipts, manual journal entries, and adjustments. Individual account balances, net monthly activity and net historical account activity can easily be queried and viewed. Reports generated on a detail or summary level include income statements, balance sheets and trial balances. Additionally, CAESAR offers the flexibility to account for multiple companies and can produce key reports on an individual and consolidated basis.

REPORTING
CAESAR has over 100 canned reports, many of which have front-end parameters that allow users to specify what data should be contained in the report and how it should be sorted (such as date range, branches, product types, clients, and reps). Reports can be viewed to screen, printed to local printers, PDF and e-mailed and exported to Excel.
CAESAR's interactive Trade Blotter is a powerful data-mining tool that enables users to drill down on data elements, manipulate sort criteria, modify data sets, and graph information in a variety of formats. By condensing vast amounts of information held in the back office, this report eliminates the need for spreadsheet maintenance and large amounts of paperwork. |

Financial Database Services offers numerous Add-On Modules that supplement the CAESAR Back Office System, many of which are interfaces to third party organizations such as clearing firms, NSCC and DST.
