Eddie Hillard, President/CEO

Mr. Hillard leads the FDS team that is dedicated to helping our clients operate more effectively and efficiently so that they can better service their valued clients. Throughout his 18-year tenure at FDS, Mr. Hillard has overseen the growth of the firm from six employees to 37 while establishing the firm's reputation for superior customer service, innovative product and service offerings. Under Mr. Hillard's leadership, the company's CAESAR product has helped an expanding number of broker/dealers meet operate in an ever-changing industry.  On behalf of its clients, CAESAR has processed over $338 billion in investment products. 

As CEO, Mr. Hillard is resolutely committed to creating a corporate environment that encourages both personal and professional development of employees, a commitment that fosters the FDS corporate vision of providing superior customer service and product management guided by an unmatched integrity.

Prior to joining FDS, Mr. Hillard developed his expertise in the financial services industry first as partner at a fee-only financial planning firm, and later as a faculty member at San Diego State University, where he taught graduate level investment courses and served on the faculty of the College of Financial Planning.. His research work, titled “Professionalism and Ethics in the Financial Services Industry,” has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal and cited during a Securities & Exchange Commission hearing.

Mr. Hillard received a B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah and a Masters degree in Financial Services from San Diego State University and was awarded the CFP designation in 1984.


Dave Woltkamp, Programming Manager

With over 18 years of programming expertise, Mr. Woltkamp oversees a team of 13 programmers at FDS. Dedicated to providing unparalleled attention to client needs, he recommends and implements product enhancements that fulfill the evolving requirements of the FDS customer. His duties include programmer training, for which he draws upon his extensive experience working with Informix and Unix. He is responsible for answering the maintenance needs of the 38 broker/dealers that utilize the company's CAESAR database in a timely and knowledgeable manner. Mr. Woltkamp fosters the company's commitment to keeping up with changing technology by exploring and developing new products that serve the financial services community. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha .


Poli Lillard, Quality Assurance Manager

As Quality Assurance Manager, Ms. Lillard oversees the quality of products delivered to clients and FDS internal systems by facilitating communication between departments, as well as clients. With a 14-year background with Financial Database Services, Ms. Lillard brings experience and product expertise to her management role. Ms. Lillard oversees a staff that tests product delivered to clients, as well as the Help Desk, to identify and resolve issues with any FDS product or services.  Ms. Lillard reflects the company's pledge to superior project management throughout the lifecycle of a project.


Jenni Holloway, Sales and Marketing Manager

A thirteen-year veteran of FDS, Ms. Holloway manages the company's sales and marketing efforts. Working with prospects, Ms. Holloway educates prospective clients about the CAESAR Enterprise Solution, performs extensive needs analysis to determine what customizations are needed, defines pricing and contracts, and supports the integration team in delivering CAESAR solutions to new clients. In addition to managing sales initiatives, she oversees a wide range of marketing activities, from the creation of marketing materials to the attendance at various industry trade shows and conventions. She holds a BA in Business, with a concentration in Marketing.


Carol Haynes, Strategic Development Manager

As Strategic Development Manager, Ms. Haynes is responsible for driving product development and partnership strategy. In addition to her extensive background in the financial services sector, her authoritative grasp on regulatory changes allow her to guide the evolution of products and develop new compliance solutions that meet the needs of clients in an ever changing regulatory landscape.  Ms. Haynes holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and retains her Series 7 license.


Nina Straub, Controller

Ms. Straub brings over 20 years of accounting experience, allowing her to restructure and improve procedures within the accounting department.  She implemented a new accounting system that now allows FDS to view its financial position in a more strategic manner.  Ms. Straub was raised in PA and moved to San Diego in 1982.  Her education background includes an AS in Accounting, a BBA, and an MBA in Financial Management.  Ms. Straub shares her time throughout the week as the CFO/Controller for a local hotel.  She also holds a CHAE certification as a Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive.  She is involved in networking with many local associations, including the Institute for Management Accountants, American Society of Women Accountants, San Diego Employers Association, San Diego Society for Human Resource Management, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, and for the past two years has held the position of President of the SD Chapter of the Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals.   Through her networking efforts Ms. Straub is able to bring much needed information, training and risk management insight to her position at FDS, to avoid potential issues.  Ms. Straub shares the commitment to excellent communication internally as well as with our clients to ensure a positive experience with FDS.


Walter Werner, I.T. Manager

With over 25 years technology experience, Mr. Werner's expertise ensures that FDS operations are smooth and efficient. He is committed to ensuring the same level of smooth operations to clients, which drive his efforts to provide superb customer service and high satisfaction. An 18-year veteran of FDS, Mr. Werner fosters the company's commitment to explore and develop new technologies that help Broker/Dealers operate more effectively. He also supports the FDS management team in creating development strategies that will enable the company to improve upon existing products and expand into new markets. Mr. Werner holds various IBM certifications in Technical Support and Sales in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Redlands .
